In a friendly triples match at Meadow Park, Borehamwood defeated Barnet by 74-53, due to a virtual white wash by Tony Parker and Fred Payne skipped by Mick Glover who annihilated their opponents 26-3.

The other winning rink was Audrey Page and Eric Swain skipped by Neville Simons who won 17-15.

On Saturday, Borehamwood hopped across the A1 to play Rowley Lane in another mixed triples on 4 rinks and came away with yet another comprehensive victory by 81 shots to 57 winning 3 of the 4 rinks.

Pat Stephens and Dave Mooring skipped by Eric Swain scraped home 18-17, Ivy Eales and Mick Glover skipped by Joyce Wrigley won 20-15, and in another massive triumph Chrissie Martin and Colin Williams skipped by Joan Tester overcame their opponents 31-4.
