In the inaugural
fixture of the Nethercott's Cup, kindly
sponsored by Nethercotts of Borehamwood,
Borehamwood Bowls Club emerged
victorious against North Mymms by 89
shots to 74.
Winning rinks for Borehamwood were Audrey Page, Adrian Pardini and Colin Williams skipped by Betty Massey,20-17, Lesley Martin, Mick Glover and Jean Parker skipped by Fred Paine 25-16, and Top Rink Tony Parker, Doris Edwards and Danny Agras skipped by Margaret Moseley, 30-18.
After a
most enjoyable afternoon, Borehamwood's
Annual Club Triples Competition
was won (with a amazing combined age of 255 years) by Dickie Daniels and George Leslie skipped by Bryan Mayson.
