A nail-biting finale to a most exciting contest was witnessed when Borehamwood
played their 2 rink South-East Herts League Match at Rowley Lane.

When the hosts, who had been losing throughout most of the game against
Borehamwood's rink of John Tester, Barry Coles and Eric Swain skipped
by Danny Agras, scored 2 shots on the last end to level at 21 shots apiece,
they were able to watch the other rink who still had 3 ends to play.

Wood's rink of Dickie Daniels, Dave Mooring and Bryan Mayson skipped
by John Roe were 4 shots up on the last end, but Rowley Lane were
holding 5 shots to win the match overall when Skip John Roe trailed
the jack with his last wood to another Borehamwood  wood to
snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and Wood secured the points.
