Borehamwood's Men achieved a fantastic result in the County League against Barnet sweeping them aside 61-22.The 2 rinks were John Roe, Danny Agras and Don Putman skipped by Roy Edwards 33-9, and Harry Massey, Dave Mooring and Neville Simons skipped by Ken Sharp 28-13.In a 5 rink mixed triples friendly at Meadow Park, Wood went down narrowly by 5 shots 73-78. Winning rinks for Borehamwood were Pat Stephens and Eileen Mason skipped by Dave Middleditch 16-13, Arthur Muir and Bryan Mayson skipped by Jean Snook 17-12, and Top Rink Harry Massey and Barry Coles skipped by Doris Edwards 20-11.In the League, Borehamwood's Ladies represented by Eileen Mason, Eve Middleditch and Lesley Martin skipped by Margaret Moseley won 21-15 against Rickmansworth .Borehamwood's Joan Tester had an unbelievable week winning the 2nd round of the Champion of Champion's Competition against a lady from Harpenden 23-7, the Second and Third Rounds of the County Triples with Tina Job and Madge Barker, and the County Fours.In the Watford & District League Borehamwood lost to Abbots Langley by 19 shots on the statutory 3 rinks. Their only winning rink was Alan Rose, Arthur Muir and Ken Sharp skipped by Dave Winter who won 21-15.
