The week got off to a good start when Madge Barker and Joan Tester progressed to the 4th round of the Watford & District Pairs by defeating their opponents from Watford Ladies by 22 shots to 18.

In the Watford & District League, Borehamwood just failed to press home their advantage and slipped to a 3 shot defeat at home to Abbots Langley,by 56-59. Winning rinks were Dickie Daniels, Bryan Mayson and Dave Middleditch skipped by Tom Barker who scraped home 19-18, and Adrian Pardini, Harry Massey and Danny Agras skipped by Roy Edwards who won 21-18. The Ladies' friendly rink of Chris Martin, Eve Middleditch and Betty Massey skipped by Doris Edwards had an excellent win by 24 shots to 13.

Borehamwood bounced back in the League with a superb win away to a strong Oxhey team scraping home by 4 shots in a very hard fought match. Alan Rose, Bryan Mayson and Danny Agras skipped by Dave Winter drew their rink 16-16, but Andy Bennett, Dave Middleditch and Don Putman skipped
by Roy Edwards ensured the win with a tremendous 33-13 victory.

Against Batchwood, Borehamwood slipped to a 1 shot defeat in a 3 rink friendly.Alan Rose, Ian Claydon and Andy Bennett skipped by Roy Edwards had a comfortable win by 22-13, whilst Adrian Pardini, Ralph Middleditch and John Tester skipped by Dave Middleditch drew their rink 21-21.
