Jubilee Gala Triples Competition played in superb
weather in spite of the adverse forecast was deservedly
won by John Roe and Joyce Wrigley skipped by Don Putman.
Away to Croxley Guild
in the Watford & District League, Borehamwood went down
by 9 shots,
56-65. Only one of their three rinks won, namely Alan
Rose, Andy Bennett and Ken Sharp skipped by Arthur
Moseley, who triumphed 24-12.
The Annual Men's
Triples Competition was won by Dickie Daniels, Sid
Butcher and Danny Agras.
Borehamwood's Golden
Jubilee Celebratory Ladies' Match against the Watford &
District League Team was played at Meadow Park last
Sunday on four rinks and was won by the visitors, but
only by 7 shots, 71-78. Wood's only successful rink was
Anita Prosser, Eve Middleditch and Doris Edwards skipped
by Jean Snook who ran out comfortable winners by 22-14.
