Watford were soundly beaten in the Friday Night League by a
Borehamwood team who were in no mood to have their unbeaten
run challenged. T he home team of Dave Mooring, Ken Sharp
and Colin Williams skipped by Arthur Moseley crushed their
opposition 26-7, whilst the away
team of John Roe, Alan Rose and Don Putman and Roy Edwards
cruised home by 22 shots to 17.
Saturday is not Friday however, and Borehamwood lost a close
encounter at home to Croxley Guild by 6 shots, 63-69. Their
only winning rink, and a very good one it was, comprised of
Alan Rose, Andy Bennett and Colin Williams skipped by Roy
Edwards who annihilated their opposition 35-11.
The friendly rink of Adrian Pardini, Ralph Middleditch and
Brian Mayhew skipped by John Paine had a comfortable win,
23-16.
The annual Ladies' Triples Competition was very closely
contested and was finally won by Pat Talbot and Peggy
Pollintine skipped by Jean Snook.
