Borehamwood's up and down season continued this week and started with a good win in the Watford & District League away to Herts where they finished on top in a very competitive match by 68 shots to 53. Wood's two winning rinks were John Roe, Andy Bennett and Danny Agras skipped by Tom
Barker 21-14, and Dave Mooring, Dave Middleditch and Colin Williams skipped by Arthur Moseley who romped home 25-16.

The weekend however told a very different story with Borehamwood suffering a crushing defeat against Berkhampstead in a mixed triples friendly on five rinks by 57 shots to 111. Their only winning rink was Joan Wrigley and Audrey Page skipped by Roy Edwards who came out on top 19-13.

On Sunday in the League Borehamwood lost their return home fixture against Herts, going down by 53 shots to 60. Only John Roe,Peter Job and Colin Williams skipped by Dave Winter won with a comfortable 10 shot margin, 21-11.

In the County Pairs, Betty Massey and Eve Middleditch progressed to the 4th Round with a 20-16 victory over their opponents from Shire Park.
