In the Watford & District Pairs Competition Borehamwood's Joan Tester and Madge Barker won their 4th round match at Cassiobury Park, (20-8).

The men at last seem to be finding more consistency with back to back victories in the Watford & District League. They beat North Watford 74-48 with wins on all 3 rinks, Alan Rose, Andy Bennett and Colin Williams skipped by Arther Moseley (30-20), John Roe, Danny Agras and Tom Barker skipped by Roy Edwards (23-17), and Dave Mooring, Dave Middleditch and Neville Simons skipped by Don Putman (21-11).

This was followed two days later by an even more impressive victory, this time completing the double over Oxhey by 77 shots to 41, again with wins on all 3 rinks.                                                          Alan Rose, Bryan Mayson and Colin Williams skipped by Roy Edwards (19-13), John Roe, Dave Middleditch and Ken Sharp skipped by Dave Winter (29-15), and Top Rink Arthur Muir, Barry Coles and Danny Agras skipped by Don Putman (29-13).
