In the Watford & District League Triples Competition, Borehamwood's Leslie Martin and Carol Higgon skipped by Doris Edwards came from 14 -19 down to clock up 7 shots on the last 3 ends and defeat their opponents 21-19. In the St. Albans & District County Singles, Joan Tester beat Ms O'Keefe from Harpenden with an easy 21-11 margin, whilst in the Fours, Carol Higgon, Ivy Eales and Jean Snook skipped by Doris Edwards also had a comfortable win over their opponents from Harperbury by 26 shots to 15.

The 13th June was unlucky for Borehamwood, as a strong Garston side surprised their hosts by scraping home by 2 shots, 64-62. Wood's sole winning rink was Adrian Pardini, Alan Rose and Neville Simons skipped by Roy Edwards, 21-17.

Borehamwood bounced back with a crushing win in their next League game at the weekend at home to King's Langley, when all their three rinks were victorious to record an overall triumph 81-41. Individual rink scores were John Roe, Harry Massey and Colin Williams skipped by Arthur Moseley   30-17, Adrian Pardini , Fred Paine and Don Putman skipped by Roy Edwards 21-9, and Dickie Daniels, Alan Rose and Danny Agras skipped by Dave Winter 30-15.

Borehamwood also won the Ladies' rink with Leslie Martin, Dot Aslin and Pat Talbot skipped by Margaret Moseley victorious by 25-17.
