A mixed triples friendly on 4 rinks against Oakhill at Meadow Park saw Borehamwood go down by 12 shots, 61-73. Their only winning rink was Pat Stephens and Peggy Pollintine skipped by Adrian Pardini who scraped home 16-15.

Borehamwood fared better in the following mixed triples friendly last Saturday when they beat Potters Bar on 5 rinks in a close encounter by 78 shots to 72. Their two winning rinks were Pat Talbot and Carol Sharp skipped by Danny Agras ( 19-14 ) and Top Rink Chrissie Martin and Harry Massey skipped by Don Putman who swept their opposition aside to record a 24-10 victory.

Another success followed the next day in a mixed triples friendly on 5 rinks when Borehamwood overcame Radlett by 87 shots to 71. Their 3 winning rinks were Pat Stephens and Bryan Mayson skipped by Fred Paine ( 19-14 ), Joyce Wrigley and Eileen Mason skipped by Danny Agras ( 20-14 ), and Top Rink Ralph Middleditch and Andy Bennett skipped by Margaret Moseley who ran out worthy winners by 18 shots to 8.
