Borehamwood's season hit another high as the euphoria of winning the Griffin Cup gave Margaret Moseley an added impetus to pull off a wonderful display to win the Watford & District Ladies Singles Final played at Bushey Bowls Club only 4 days later. She beat Nicola Coombes of CassioburyB.C. 21-15.
In their final big match to celebrate their Golden Jubilee year, Borehamwood hosted The Watford & District League Team, and in winning the match, qualified for the special shield to add to the one they already won in beating the County side earlier in the season both of which will be presented to them at the Watford & District Annual Dinner.

It was an amazingly close match on 5 rinks with the result in doubt until the very end, but Borehamwood scraped through on 4 of the rinks to win by 8 shots 105-97. John Roe, George Leslie and Brian Mayhew skipped by Arthur Moseley won 22-20, Adrian Pardini,Peter Job and Danny Agras skipped by Fred Paine won 24-22, Dickie Daniels, Dave Middleditch and Neville Simons skipped by Don Putman,22-18, and Top Rink Arthur Muir, Dave Mooring and Harry Massey skipped by Dave Winter 22-17.
