Away to Abbots Langley in the Watford & District League last Wednesday, Borehamwood were in a superb position with one end to play, but somehow managed to drop 10 shots on 2 rinks and losethe match by a single shot, 54-55. Their one winning rink was Tony Parker, Malcolm Page and Brian Mayhew skipped by Dave Middleditch, 24-16.

Away again on Saturday in the League to Oxhey, Borehamwood got back on track with a comprehensive win by 67 shots to 43. Details were Dave Mooring, Andy Bennett and Mick Glover skipped by Don Putman who drew 20-20. Bryan Mayson, Dave Middleditch and Peter Job skipped by Dave Winter who won 18-16, and Top Rink Harry Massey, Brian Mayhew and Neville Simons skipped by Roy Edwards with a crushing 20-7 victory.
