Borehamwood's Men travelled to Croxley Green for a Watford & District League Match, but went down by 49 shots to 64,losing on all three rinks.

In the Watford & District Ladies' Pairs Competition, Borehamwood's Eileen Mason and Jean Snook had a marvellous win against their opponents from Herts. Bowls Club winning 23-15 to progress to the next round.

Borehamwood Men entertained a Herts. County Representative Team at Meadow Park on Sunday on 5 rinks and acquitted themselves well only losing by 8 shots, 90-98. Their 2 winning rinks were Arthur Muir, Andy Bennett and Colin Williams skipped by Tom Barker 22-13, and Top Rink Alan Rose, Dave Mooring and Sid Butcher skipped by Club Captain Roy Edwards who beat a strong team which included the Hertfordshire County Bowls Association President, Borehamwood's own Arthur Moseley.
