In a Top Ten match against Potten End, Borehamwood Ladies lost the Singles and the Triples, but won the Pairs and drew the Rinks. Carol Sharp skipped by Margaret Moseley triumphed 19-15, and Doris Edwards, Eve Middleditch and Betty Massey skipped by Joan Tester took 4 shots on the last end to finish 21-21.

Borehamwood hosted Welwyn & District in a mixed triples friendly on 5 rinks and achieved a clean sweep with Lesley Martin and Bryan Mayson skipped by Arthur Muir 10-9,Betty Massey and Adrian Pardini skipped by Malcolm Page 13-12, Doris Edwards and Carol Higgon skipped by Harry Massey 19-13, Pat Talbot and Dave Mooring skipped by Joan Tester 17-10, and Top Rink Ann Atkin and John Roe skipped by Ken Sharp with a superb score of25-4.

In the 1st round of the County Pairs, Roy Edwards and Tom Barker defeated their opposition from North Mymms 19-16.

Borehamwood attained a marvellous victory in a Watford & District League Match against a hitherto undefeated Abbots Langley side crushing them by 71 shots to 33.Dickie Daniels, Peter Job and Tom Barker skipped by Roy Edwards 19-15, John Roe, Neville Simons and Colin Williams skipped by Don Putman 21-12, and a massive 31-6 triumph for Arthur Muir, Dave Middleditch and Ken Sharp skipped by Dave Winter. The Ladies also won their friendly rink with Ann Atkin, Ivy Eales and Lesley Martin skipped by Audrey Page by 19 shots to 9.

To conclude a most satisfactory week, Borehamwood travelled to North Mymms for a mixed friendly on 4 rinks and scraped home by 5 shots, 66-61. Their two winning rinks were Lesley Martin, Maud Maunder and Eileen Mason skipped by Jean Snook 19-17 and Tony Parker, Bill Maunder and Mick Glover skipped by Don Putman by an impressive 22-12.
