Last Tuesday, Borehamwood Ladies entertained Potters Bar in a Triples friendly on 3 rinks, and enjoyed a comprehensive victory by 63 shots to 30. Audrey Page and Leslie Martin skipped by Madge Barker crushed their opposition by 28-5 while Ivy Eales and Ann Atkin skipped by Pat Talbot also had a great win by 27-10.

The following day, Borehamwood's men were in action hosting St. Albans at Meadow Park in a Triples Match on 4 rinks. After a hard-fought game they emerged victorious by 9 shots, 85-76. Their 2 winning rinks were Dickie Daniels and John Tester skipped by Peter Job who won 22-24, and Peter Hedges and Barry Coles skipped by Malcolm Page, 21-12.

That same evening saw Borehamwood again victorious in the County League where they beat Rowley Lane on both rinks. John Roe, Alan Rose and Don Putman skipped by Roy Edwards won the last 2ends to triumph 17-14, and Arthur Muir, Dave Middleditch and Tom Barker skipped by Dave Winter had a convincing win 26-17to secure an overall 43-31 victory.

On Friday evening, Borehamwood had a wonderful win in the Jones Cup by 48 shots to30. Arthur Muir, Dave Middleditch and Colin Williams skipped by Don Putman won 22-14, while John Roe , Alan Rose and Tom Barker skipped by Roy Edwards triumphed 26-16.

After a most successful week, Borehamwood went down in both their WAtford & District League games over the weekend. The only winning rink against Mill End was Arthur Muir, Andy Bennett and Fred Paine skipped by Roy Edwards 18-17, and John Roe and Harry Massey skipped by Tom Barker who won 23-15 against Garston.
