Press Report - 22nd May 2006 Last Thursday, Borehamwood entertained Mill Hill in a mixed triples friendly on 6 rinks and lost an enjoyable match by 90 shots to 106. Borehamwood's two winning rinks were John Roe and Peter Hedges skipped by Eve Middleditch who came from behind to win the last 6 ends to triumph 18-10, and top rink Audrey Page and Betty Webster skipped by Dave Middleditch who played really superb bowls winning 13 of the 18 ends to finish 22-12.On Saturday, Borehamwood travelled to Bushey to play the Metropolitan Police, but went down heavily in atrocious weather, losing on all rinks. Even worse weather the following day, caused the cancellation of their home game against Radlett.Borehamwood are honoured this year with Arthur Moseley becoming President of the Hertfordshire Bowling Association, and several County Representative Matches are being played at Meadow Park, which will of course be reported in the Borehamwood and Elstree Times.
